Kaolin
Kaolin, also known as china clay is an aluminosilicate mineral derived from the decomposition of feldspar from igneous rocks. The term kaolin derives from the name of the deposit in China where the mineral was first mined – Kao-ling. In ceramics manufacturing, kaolin is used to modify the properties of a ceramic body with the ball clay (plastic clay), primarily to control and adjust the casting rate of the ceramic body.
Kaolin, also has a great number of uses. These include: ceramics, filler, pharmaceutical, absorbent, and many others.
The company has an undergoing exploration plan for the kaolin mineral deposit in the Libyan south, the initial results prove the high quality and reserve for Kaolin in Libya.
