Calcium Carbonate
Calcium carbonate is a highly versatile material that makes up over 4% of the earth’s crust. Its most common natural forms are limestone, chalk and marble. High-purity calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is available in ground (GCC) and precipitated (PCC) form. It is used in a wide range of applications, including ceramic glazes, construction, agriculture and as a blast cleaning abrasive. Precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) is made by hydrating high-calcium quicklime and then reacting the resulting slurry with carbon dioxide. This enables the creation of products with very fine and controlled particle sizes, high surface areas, high oil absorption, and with different powder bulk densities – from ultra-low to super-high. The calcium carbonate is one of the most important projects on the company’s agenda, with a serious exploration plan in the eastern region where the high quality and reserve.
The company has plans to have a calcium carbonate production line to produce different qualities for the local and international market.
