Valley Products

Gypsum

Gypsum is a naturally occurring Calcium Sulfate mineral that has been used by humans for various purposes for thousands of years. It is a versatile mineral with a wide range of applications in construction, agriculture, industry, and even art. Calcium Sulfate has three major forms: Dihydrate (Terra Alba), hemi-hydrate (Gypsum Plaster or Stucco), and anhydrous (Anhydrite).

Travertine Marble

Travertine marble is a sedimentary stone classified as a form of limestone with naturally occurring holes and troughs throughout the surface which result in porousness.
Travertine provides a durable surface with a proven history of longevity. Variations in colors and patterns from surface to surface makes each installment unique. Authenticity of travertine instills a sense of pride in ownership.

Iron Oxide

Iron oxide (Fe2O3) powder is used as a pigment in coatings, polymers, glass and bricks. It is also used in cement production, casting and welding fluxes, as an oxidizer in exothermic risers, and as a sinter aid in graphite electrodes.
The company’s studies on the iron oxide in south Libya has proven the high quality existence of iron oxide with a large strategic reserve. The company’s plan is to move to the production as soon as the undergoing exploration plan ends.

Bentonite

Bentonite is a soft aluminium phyllosilicate clay. Made up mainly of montmorillonite, bentonite is valued for its bonding, sealing, absorption and lubrication properties. Natural bentonite is classified by the predominant balancing cation, normally sodium or calcium. All applications of bentonite rely on its reaction with water.
The bonding properties of sodium bentonite occur in the early stage of water absorption, approximating its plastic limit of 50% to 70%. When mixed at low concentration in water, it exhibits a stable thinning behavior

Kaolin

Kaolin, also known as china clay is an aluminosilicate mineral derived from the decomposition of feldspar from igneous rocks. The term kaolin derives from the name of the deposit in China where the mineral was first mined – Kao-ling. In ceramics manufacturing, kaolin is used to modify the properties of a ceramic body with the ball clay (plastic clay), primarily to control and adjust the casting rate of the ceramic body.

Calcium Carbonate

Calcium carbonate is a highly versatile material that makes up over 4% of the earth’s crust. Its most common natural forms are limestone, chalk and marble. High-purity calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is available in ground (GCC) and precipitated (PCC) form. It is used in a wide range of applications, including ceramic glazes, construction, agriculture and as a blast cleaning abrasive.
